People who have rheumatoid are sensitive to nightshade plants. Some of these plants include potatoes, peppers and eggplant. You should reduce or avoid the consumption of red meat, eggs and chicken. Try to avoid oil-rich seeds and nut butters. Arthritis food should also include increased consumption of water.  Eight glasses of water a day is the recommended amount and this helps to flush out toxins from your body.

You should remember that the most important thing when fighting this disease is to try and maintain your normal body weight. Excess weight puts increased strain on the weight-bearing joints and if they are also affected, the condition may get worse.
