Question by ♥Carlyndra♥: Chronic Pain in Legs? Anyone Know What’s Going On?
For years I’ve been having pain in my legs and sometimes my arms.
The best way I can describe the pain is like “growing pains” only much more painful.

I started having these pain when I was in elementary school [I'm a Senior in highschool now]. They’re not constant, but every once in a while, maybe even every week [it's gotten so that sometimes I don't even notice it], this pain starts radiating from my lower leg [most often my right], and starts slowly traveling down towards my ankle and up towards my knee.

The pain is really deep in my leg, and sometimes it lasts for several minutes, sometimes an hour. Sometimes the pain is mild enough that it causes discomfort, but I can still go on with my life. Sometimes the pain is very severe, and the only way to relieve it is by tying a bandage tightly around it [pressure is the only way to ease the pain].

My pain is NOT affected by walking or moving my leg. It hurts the same whether I’m sitting or standing. Sometimes it’s in one leg, sometimes in both, and sometimes it’s in my arms. When it’s in my arms, it usually starts just below the elbow, and radiates down towards my wrist.

I have gone to a sports medicine doctor several years ago, and they took x-rays and did some blood work, but said that there was absolutely nothing wrong.

Like I said, this has been going on for years, and it doesn’t really affect me the way it did when I was younger [several times the pain was so severe that I would be screaming and crying].
I don’t think it’s anything too serious, I’d just like to know what’s going on.

Also, could this be classified as chronic pain? Or is that something completely different?

Thank-you so much to anyone who takes the time to read all of this and tries to help me! I really do appreciate it ^_^
[EDIT]: Oh, and the pain doesn’t really affect my joints. It’s more of the area between them.
@Douglas: Hmm, I do have lower back problems. I never thought that maybe thoes thigns were connected.
