Yes i think it can and so can clicking your fingers. I’m not too sure but don’t crack your fingers anyway.

i used to do that when i was younger..not nemore tho i hate the sound of cracking knuckles.. it just bothers me lol. i try and remind my mom not to do it as well
No. The sound you hear is gas being released from the joints. That’s why you can’t do it twice in a row in the same joint – there is a refractory period where the gas must build up again. This can actually help to lubricate the joints and prevent arthritis, however, too much of anything is not healthy.
