Leg Pain Symptoms Ease with Exercise

An estimated 25 to 30 million people worldwide have a condition called Peripheral Arterial Disease. It develops when cholesterol or scar tissue builds up and restricts the flow of blood through the arteries. It often goes undiagnosed. PAD frequently leads to pain or weakness in the legs and feet. But as VOA’s Melinda Smith reports, a recent study shows that simple exercise such as walking and leg strengthening can help relieve the symptoms.

@sleepcity Either way I love going to the chiropractor and find that it helps with the pains of many things. Just because it’s not something that you want in your lifestyle doesn’t mean you should try to sway people from going, or doing what they know helps with their pain and discomfort. Yes I’ll agree that they aren’t a licensed doctor, but they are very good at what they do and they know what they’re talkting about.
@sleepcity Did I say old things are good? Please point that out. You said it’s all magical BS, I said TCM is gaining scientific backing – I have no idea where you got the idea that I was saying old things are the best. Did slavery have any backing? No, that’s why it was abolished. TCM way older, and it’s not going anywhere because it has scientific proof that it works.
@mamba109 Ignorance sure is bliss if you accept the idea that because something is old it is therefore good. Slavery is old, war is old, astrology is old, etc. Does that mean these things are GOOD because they are old? Of course not. Use your noggin.
@celest3alove Now what’s the one thing those medical specialties have in common? ERs are run by DOCTORS. Psychiatrists are DOCTORS. OBGYNs are DOCTORS. Orthopaedists are DOCTORS. Proper medicine is based on reason and evidence as opposed to essentially vitalist “alternative medicines.” Most “alt-med” people claim that their specialty can effectively and safely treat a wide variety of conditions — many of which are life-threatening and require PROPER medical care by a licensed DOCTOR.
@sleepcity No, I would go to a gynecologist for ovarian cancer, the E.R. for trauma from a vehicle accident, a physiotherapist to help with regaining movement, and a psychiatrist for mental incapabilities. Different doctors for different things. You wouldn’t complain to other doctors about things that didn’t concern their field of study. I wouldn’t rush to my OBGYN for a broken ankle. It takes all kinds of people in the medical field to make human health the best it can be.
@sleepcity New age? This is traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) from thousands of years ago and is gaining scientific backing. From the Chinese perspective, western medicine is the “New Age BS.” Ignorance is a bliss.
@celest3alove Great! Now here’s the real test: would you go to one if you had ovarian cancer? Would you go to one to treat your massive internal bleeding after suffering trauma in a vehicle accident? How about after a stroke to regain movement in half of your body? How about for dementia or schizophrenia?
Funny how nobody ever winds up at a chiropractor with any of those complaints. Seems those get saved for the REAL DOCTORS.
@mamba109 Yeah, if I was too busy reading REAL science books I might have time to read New Age bullshit ones. Maybe even then I could get a “degree” from an online university in “reflexology” or some other BS.
ass tip mtf
@sleepcity I find that going to a chiropractor has help me with my migraines, which I had almost constantly and they lasted for weeks. Now I only get about three a year. It’s also helped with menstural cramps which is a godsend if you have them.

pls add me on lockerz >FWB<… thx
@sleepcity Unrelated? There certainly is nothing fake about it. If you read up on acupuncture/reflexology, then you’d see how connected the body is.
